Upset Alert

Upset Alert is an iPhone app, run by Görkem Kurt, that follows football matches and notifies you when one is worth watching. This page says what the app stores about you, why, and how to have it deleted. Questions: support@upsetalert.app.

What we store

• Your account. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive an identifier for your Apple or Google account and, if you allow it, your email address. We create a user name from it. We never see your Apple or Google password.
• Your notification settings. Which leagues and teams you follow, your alert level, and whether you want live alerts and the daily list.
• Your devices. For each iPhone you use: the push notification token Apple gives the app, the device's time zone (so the daily list arrives at noon your time), and when it last opened the app.
• A notification log. For each notification we send: when, to which of your devices (a short part of its token), and whether Apple accepted it. We keep this for 30 days to find and fix delivery problems, then delete it.
• Server logs. Our server logs events such as sign-ins and device registrations with your user name, for troubleshooting.

What we don't do

• No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
• We don't access your contacts, photos or location.

Who else is involved

• Apple handles Sign in with Apple and delivers push notifications.
• Google handles Sign in with Google, if you choose it.
• Hetzner hosts the server that stores the data above.
• Match data and betting odds come from a football data provider. We send it no information about you.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings and tap Delete account. This deletes your account, your settings, your devices and your notification log entries straight away. You can also email support@upsetalert.app and we delete them for you. Deleting the app from your iPhone stops notifications; Apple then tells us the token no longer works and we remove that device.

Children

Upset Alert is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
